Injury

This is a homage to my friend Jill whose birthday it is today. Happy Birthday!

She took a photo very similar to this which was used on the front cover of a book about domestic abuse and I've always thought it was a powerful image.

We've got visitors staying with us this weekend and they all asked, "why are you sewing an apple?" which was a fair question.
