A winter's day by the canal.
Today was open day at the 5 rise locks in Bingley seeWendles 56 for more details. As you can see it was very busy as this only happens once every 30 years. They have cleaned out the locks as well as replacing some of the lock gates. It was interesting to walk down into them and I will probably not be up to it in another 30 years so it was worth it despite the crowds and muddy conditions.
As it was such a super day we walked along the canal (Leeds - Liverpool) to Saltaire and had some lunch and then went to the vintage fair in Victoria Hall. A great day out and we even walked back!
Friends for dinner tonight so no rest for the wicked!
