Winter in K0K 1M0

This Canadian winter has been 'anything' but NORMAL... Extreme cold temperatures on day and then well above freezing for several days. Thursday was freezing rain, and today is heavy snow as the temperatures hover around the freezing mark. This is the type of weather that kills hoticulture. Spring will tell a tale indeed.
Castleton is located about 20 kms. north of Lake Ontario, bringing lake effect snow often during the winter. The postal code is K0K 1M0........even the local candle store is called "Kokimo" candles. (the best candles in Canada I may add!)
After a precarious drive to the local town, Cobourg, to fetch some groceries......I put my 'wellies' on an and went out and caught this shot of the heavy and burdened trees with wet snow..............a nice weekend to spend indoors in eye shot of the fireplace.
