Storm's a'comin

Tonight we'll be getting our first rain on the farm since I arrived.

I decided to move to new digs this afternoon. This is the view from my new campsite, looking north to the open ocean. Today is the first day I've been able to make out the horizon; usually the vog (volcano fog) blurs the line out but the wind picked up today and cleared everything out.

My original campsite was set up on the property line, far from farm operations and everyone else's tents. I haven't slept much of the 5 nights I've been here, between the wild pigs that trounce around and the rustling tropical grasses and the wandering "spirits" my coworkers claim are here, I can't go 15 minutes without startling myself awake. I think I'll feel more comfortable being close to everyone else--strength in numbers and such. The only issue now is that I apparently put my tent on top of an old horse grave, so I gotta look out for the horse ghost now.
