Farm dog
Another view from my new campsite, getting on towards dusk. The structures in the background, left to right, are the outhouse, the owner's cabin, the potting tent, and the tool shed. And in the foreground there is Sas of course.
Here we'd just returned from a day on the Kona side of the island. The excuse was a supply run, though I and two other farmhands were more oriented towards hitting the beach. We ended up at an idyllic spot with nice big breaks to bounce around in. It was absolutely beautiful. The water along the Kona coast is this unreal turquoise, and is punctuated with stacks of jet black lava rocks. There is no feeling like that of being gently lifted off the sandy ocean bottom by an incoming wave, let down again, and then lightly tugged out by the tow, all with the tropical sun warming your face. Wow. Makes all the weeding WAY worth it.
