Mackerel Skies
Freezing cold at the allotment, but got plenty of work done today. I rehung and mended a broken spar on the gate, which had come off during the storms earlier in January. Hammering away with the robin singing at me from the hedge, barely two feet away.
Plenty of things starting to poke through, today's was going to be a blip of Iris 'Katherine Hodgkin' which has actually started to flower. But then I caught these wonderful skies just as I was getting ready to go.
