Blipping in the style of another blipper: what a strange idea. Appealing, and yet ... and yet. It's the presumption that one could capture the essential blippiness - the blippiosity, if you will - of another's journal. This seems to me to go to the very heart of the appeal of blip, that there is a sum-is-greater-than-the-parts effect - a synergy between the visual aspect of the photograph selected by the blipper, and the words they choose to communicate whatever they wish to say. The element of presumption is therefore twofold: can anyone produce a recognisable homage to the photographic style of the homage-ee, and at the same time capture their tone of voice?

Add to this the danger of falling into a parody of a blipper, or inadvertently causing offence by producing a blip-pastiche that is interpreted as mockery, and one might wish he'd never started down this road. Rest assured, this homage to the charms of late-night streetlight shadows and carefully-chosen words is sincere - even if its execution seems somewhat cack-handed and maladroit.
