Being a grown up?

How come I am Mum to an-almost-grown-up yet I don't feel like a grown up myself yet?

Emma's Doc Martens are very precious to her so it seemed right that we make a Doc Marten 18th birthday cake.

Em lost her favourite uncle to cancer 3 years ago. Mathew was only 44 when he died, he was a very cool uncle, his Doc's were so important to him that they sat proudly on his coffin and left this world with him.

Mathew left Em some money and she used it to buy her very first pair of Doc's.

I've explained to Mr B tonight that he is very lucky - lots of husbands get to come home from work and relax in front of the TV with a beer.
Mr B gets to come home and spend hours as part of a crack cake-making team! He is such a treasure!
