Lottie only comes into the office once a week or so, but is always made a huge fuss of...

This was taken after my usual lunchtime blip-wander, no unusual or un-blipped birds. I did wander past the alder trees to check out the siskins from yesterday.

I was quite startled when a female left the flock, flew across the road and smacked straight into the window of a tenement. It lay stunned on the pavement, and I must admit that I took advantage of its plight to take a couple of close-ups.

It was gone later, so I think it recovered and flew away.

I realise that I should probably have picked it up and put it somewhere out of the way, but I couldn't bring myself to touch it, in case it panicked and had a tiny little birdie heart-attack :(
