On the hunt

Having a weird brain day today, it feels like I've been blowing up too many balloons or sucking up too much helium. Stupid brain tumor aftermath. I almost didn't blip as I'm distracted with tracing family history again.

There are a couple of "mysteries", one being that my grandfather's sister disappeared and they suspected her husband of killing her. He traveled frequently to Aruba for the oil business in the 30's, and at some point she was no longer communicating with the family. His first wife died early as well, leaving him with 2 young boys. Her kids from her first marriage were given up to the state sometime around the time husband #2 showed up. I am digging hard to try to find out what happened, but don't have high hopes of solving the mystery. I'm hoping that when the 1940 census information is released in April I might make some further headway.
