(Almost) Monochrome Flowers

I had quite a productive morning. I got the floors hoovered and some other tidying done, I made lunch and I organised my study area ready for the man from Dell to come and replace my keyboard for one where the keys light up properly.

By the afternoon though I had hit a slump. When it came to trying to take photos, I had loads of ideas in my head but none of them were coming out how I wanted. Either the light was wrong, the composition didn't work or I just didn't like it. I tried to photograph my Amethyst but it was dusty. It needs washed but I'm not willing to haul 17kg, that only has spikes to grip on to, in to the bath to shower it down.

In the end I opted for the "emergency blip" option of a flower. Whilst there are various flower themes on my list, it seems a cop out to go for something so simple. I couldn't bring myself to completely desaturate it though so this will have to do, it nicely reflects how I'm feeling today "washed out".
