Pepper

Had I considered this theme when we went shopping on Monday, there were some cute little sweet peppers in various shades of red and yellow. Maybe I'll come back to it later in the year and look at different forms of pepper. However, today I chose cracked black peppercorns. They weren't the easiest thing to photograph, my camera used to be able to focus only an inch or so away from the subject but lately it needs me to be nearly a metre away. There must be something wrong with my settings but I haven't worked out what yet.

In other news:

I waited in all day for delivery of a parcel instead of going to play in my garden whilst the sun shone. When I checked the tracking at 4pm it claimed they'd attempted to deliver mid-afternoon. After a couple of nights of bad sleep, I was tired and more than a little annoyed by this so I rang DHL to be sure they knew exactly how unhappy I was. There will be no excuse of "well I buzzed and got no answer" (no, you didn't) because they now have my number to call me if they can't get an answer at the door. I hope for their sake I'm in a better mood tomorrow or The Boy may not let me answer the door.
