...if it was a condition for building the car park?

There's a back lane to the left of the gate. The house behind the black car abuts the car-park wall (Must remember to see if they have any back access at all) and this house, for some mysterious reason has a gate direct onto the car-park, whereas by turning to their right they could walk down the back lane like the rest of humanity.
