Collapsing lettucelets

Do lettuce seedlings stand up by themselves? Mine aren't doing this and are somewhat lazy. I have applied pegs to encourage uprightness.

I had an equally lazy day today, which ended with Submarine. There were some hilarious and cringeworthy teenage moments - I recommend.
