Rhubarb, rhubarb

Not sure if you can see too well in this photo, but my rhubarb is coming up! Went to mulch it in readiness for the cold weather and it's sprouting like mad. I LOVE rhubarb. The wire around it stops Ellie trampling it as its on the run she uses to get into the bushes where the blackbirds live.
This plant must be 6or 7 now and each year produces loads of fruit for us. It's an early variety, so last year we planted a little friend for it which should hopefully give us fruit a little later into the season. All in all I am hoping for a good rhubarb year. If I have enough I may try to make rhubarb wine!!
