MEN - who tholes whom?

It's him that's off sick. I'm supposed to be looking after him. I'm the one that's got raging sinuses and streaming eyes. He's the one that's being nice to me. (I'm an irritable sod when I feel like this). Sorry!

The image: many of you will know that I don't really do alternative medicine. I'm pretty much a "give me a pill and make it go away" kind of person. I don't rule it out though. Years ago I was working in a neurochemistry lab with a freind from Taiwan who asked me about the ways we used such treatments in Scotland. Helpfully, I took in some clove oil and got him to stick it on the tip of his tongue. Needless to say his face would have made an interesting picture, but he was impressed with how quickly it worked as an anaesthetic. Upshot was he included my name in the authorship of an article on Scots Herbals that was published in the Chinese Journal of Medicine. He was a very nice man!

Anyway, continuing on that theme - and because all the more conventional drugs are doing absolutely NOTHING - I'm all Menthol and cloved (rock - much more palatable) right now. Jeez I must smell lovely!
