Sunset over the Gulf

At this time of year, the sun sets around 6pm, rushing the last few moments through the haze above the Arabian Gulf. Every evening at this time, families gather along the water's edge on the public part of Jumeirah Beach, seemingly content to stand quietly watching the sunset. Judging by the dress of many, these are local families rather than holidaymakers, and the atmosphere is peaceful and contemplative.
