Passivhaus

This apparently is the largest passivhaus construction in Europe! Its a project thats part of the Eco Bicester development and is a church hall and community centre. I was there today as part of an Eco Bicester planning session and it was a great advert -minus 3 outside and we were toasty warm with no heating on at all.

There are great aspirations for Eco Bicester. Its a 5000 home eco suburb with various initiatives to extend the learning and benefits into the existing town. But very scary as its so big I dont think anyone feels they can really control the reality of it. I still think on the whole small is beautiful.
