5.30am : Embarking on a truly surreal walk through the deep dark deadened + surreptitiously still snow drenched morning, I made my way to Chalet Maya for a disturbingly early brekkie service + departure of the bankers

6:45am : Eat breakfast with Dan, in a perfectly lit + silent guest free chalet, pretending for a moment that we've got more than twenty bucks to our name. "oh darling; early morning dip in the hot tub?"

7am-2pm : Strip the chalet for everything it's worth, with full knowledge that both of our bosses were coming to examine the supposedly scrupulously flawless finish that our bog washing hands were capable of achieving- in anticipation for the new owners arrival in only-a-matter-of-time

2:15pm : Smelling freedom, but one last stint with boss in a car tandem -

3pm : Last bit of snow shovelling , winding up Dan because we ran the risk of missing last momentous lift

3:30pm : F R E E E E E E D O M !!! : with no official guests staying in our digs for the next two weeks, we have found ourselves in a potentially monumental situation : some time off t o g e t h e r to go galavanting, exploring, pouring down summits, disco dancing : but perhaps just sleeping.. We scooped up our skis faster than anything + rattled our way up to the top of Grand Montets to catch the final runs of the day, bawled over by continuations of unpredictable dramatic lighting way up there in the clouds we wooped our way down with great ambitions of : rest.
