After a grey Saturday the sun came out on Sunday and Chez Jallot looked glorious. Already we felt a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - this part of France is as unspoilt as it gets, and you just meander along and do very little.

First went to a large 'brocante' nearby (French for car boot sale) before heading to the nearby lake with a picnic. Even swam in it which was bracing but enjoyable.

More new arrivals in the evening to dine with and chat to - a variety of people met across the week, from greenkeepers to ex-football coaches.
