Spike is not impressed.
It's cold outside so although he thinks he wants to go onto the balcony, he comes straight back inside. Today we were without power for a while (the cable used by the electricity company to connect a new meter to our incoming power cable was too thin and burnt causing a short circuit. Luckily no fire). The flat got colder and colder (it's -4 outside) and Spike huddled by a cold oil filled radiator (our central heating is not working because that's frozen too....) looking at me accusingly - you bought me here from tropical Mumbai and you can't even turn on my radiator?!
Spike's expression is also to do with the fact that D is now much more mobile - crawling and pulling himself up, not yet walking unassisted - and fascinated by Spike. D had just crawled over and disturbed his rest... then he found a camera pointed in his direction! He tolerates D's attention well - when grabbed he whips his head round, but when he sees D he relaxes - if I grabbed a handful of his fur I'd get a swipe! We are of course telling D to be gentle with him, but I'm not sure how much of that is going in. D is also copying Spike who likes to creep up on people and swipe them playfully before running off.
