Artistic flair

Another blip in my occasional series What we did at Guides tonight.

Half the Unit learnt all about the Millenium Development Goals - poverty & hungar, primary education, empowering girls & young women, saving children's lives, maternal health care, diseases, save the planet and creating peace. Next week we all swap over.

My group decorated ceremic plates for their mums for Mothering Sunday. My blip shows Chloe, one of our oldest Guides, decorating her plate. I promised her she wouldn't be in the picture and she's not, just her arm.

We did a very good activity where some of the leaders had glitter on their hands and we learnt how people greet each other in different countries. At the end of the game we asked how many girls had glitter on them. 20+ had come into contact with the glitter showing just how easy it is for diseases to spread.

We've got quite a full half term so it should make for some interesting blips!
