What A Day

It started off great.
But then ..
* train to airport: ok
* check-in: ok
* flight delayed by:
- 30 mins
- 60 mins
- 1.5h ..
eventually we left about 2.5h later than scheduled, all due to the snow in Amsterdam
* ground reached about 2h later, another ca. 30mins of waiting on one of the lanes before we could reach the gate, and get off the plane
* saw hundreds of people stranded at their gates
* all trains were cancelled .. backup plan: stay with friends in Amsterdam
* no trains to Amsterdam even .. they said there might be one every hour.. maybe .. so I took a cab
* 20 mins and ?60 (!?!) later, arrival at my friends' place
* was served a very well-tasting bread/omelette dinner, and then we watched the Ides of March.

So all in all, a great start and great end of the day. Let's try and forget everything in between :P
