A braw bricht moonlicht nicht
Having enjoyed my day at Pitlochry Festival Theatre yesterday, I decided to return to hear Alison Weir the historian and author. My husband was in Edinburgh to watch Scotland v England in the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield. I think the least said about the game the better!
Alison Weir is an authority on the Tudor period in history and her publications go into double figures. I had just arrived at the Theatre when almost immediately, I bumped into two friends who also had come to hear the respected author. The Pitlochry Station Bookshop was running a second hand bookstall in the Theatre foyer and I had brought two bags of books with me to hand over to suport this unique little bookshop located at Pitlochry station.
From Pitlochry I drove down the A9 then turned off onto the A822 which takes me home through beautiful scenery. Today however there was snow at this level and I had a narrow squeak with a snow plough who was taking up more than his share of the road. I was going along at a slow pace admiring the sunset on the snowy hills with reflections on patches of water. I stopped to take one or two photos but was conscious of the risk, so the photo today is from the safety of a layby at the Newton Bridge going into the Sma' Glen. I like the moon!
