Memorial with dolphins

In the village were fortunate to have this very splendid memorial to the fallen of both the First and the Second World Wars.

The bronze sculpture, which was commissioned by Ian Fleming's mother, in memory of her husband, is an an amazing piece of very fine work. Yes that Ian Fleming, the James Bond one - they used to have a house here.

I snapped a pic of it while we were out giving His Majesty a swim, in the process of which he managed to frighten away a pod (?) of dolphins which were moving very close to the shore.
