The Scot's Language No.3 - Docken

Strimming is great, cutting a swathe through long grass, dockens and nettles. But, and there always is one, why do the break down every five minutes. No sooner are you into attacking the jungle of weeds when the line, jams, breaks, runs out. Why is that?

Which brings me to Lesson Number Three. We call, sorrell, docks and rumex - dockens.

Used as in.
Boy 1 'oh shit I've just been stung by those nettles!'
Boy 2' 'rub a docken leaf on it ,that always works''

Here endeth the lesson
