Why did I come in here?

This is one of my baby plants, the parent is now slowly fading away.

Bromelliads, or air plants as they are more commonly known, were introduced to Spain from the new world when Christopher Columbus returned from his first voyage bearing many things, amongst them a pineapple, a senior member of the family.

The plants are generally found in the lusher parts of the southern USA, South America and a small section of Congolese/Nigerian West Africa. One of the most common and easily seen is the moss like structure that hangs from trees in places such as the everglades.

I reckon I messed this up, but then decided to give it a whizz at higher settings than I was going to do.
