Who let the dogs out?
Not me. Not today. The dogs are up at Mum & Dad's so I didn't have to take them out this morning. It feels strange and as much as I grumble about having to walk them all the time I actually enjoy it. Lisa's going to collect them later so there'll be a couple of smelly, hairy mooching beasts back and horsing around by the time I get home from work. Urgh- I suppose that means I'll have to get up early and walk them tomorrow morning...
I had quite a productive weekend. We stayed through at Stewart and Laura's new place and we did quite a bit of work for Dad's movie. The script has been tightened up and we managed to film some of it yesterday.
I had a nice trip down memory lane when we visited our grandparent's old house. Even though it's been a good 25 years since I'd been there I was able to switch off the sat nav and rely on intuition. Stew couldn't remember it as he's three years younger and has not got many memories of our grandparents.
I can't tell you how sad I find that. They were such a fixture in my early life and I assume that he should share the same memories but he doesn't. They died when I was relatively young and I wish they could have been in my life a bit longer. What might they have thought of the men that we've become? But at least they are a memory in my life unlike in his.
Bit heavy for a Monday morning but that's what happens when I have some free time instead of needing to walk those dirty dogs!
