Oversized books section

I'm in Newcastle University library. I should be heading home but I'm waiting till I know the bedtime routine is well and truly underway.

Tonight's 'Life of Writing' session finished at seven so I could be/should be home by now but I'm loitering without intent in the oversized books section. I like these books. They're gorgeously bound with marbled paper and gold leaf edges. 'Herculanensium Voluminum Collectio Altera'...I've no idea what that means or what the books are about. Each page is a facsimile of a fragment... in classical Greek maybe. The date in each volume is 1867.

I should go home now. I've been going a bit instagram happy today so I've put a filter on this pic.
