Clearing up.
Most Tuesday afternoons mum's friend Bunty who is 93 and as sharp as a pin comes for afternoon tea. Out comes the good china and cutlery and baking is done. The sherry / bailleys/ schnapps takes a beating as they watch a recorded classical concert. Today they watched Ingrid Bergman in The Inn Of The Sixth Happiness which they had both seen originally when it came out in 1958. The chat is of people I don't know and a world which is largely gone. It must be strange to be in your late 80s and 90s especially for their generation who have seen so many changes. They both remember outside toilets no tv and church attendance being compulsory. They came through WW2 Korea Vietnam Suez. They are still both stylish get their hair done weekly like their makeup and believe in old fashioned good manners. We could all do worse!!
