"Toes"

There's a story behind this blip.

Driving Sam, the Amazing Grandson, to daycare, 6:30 am. I'm listening to the radio. He's in the car seat quietly eating Cheerios out of his snack cup, when he says "toes". Next morning, Sam says, "toes", and again the next morning as we were going to daycare. Always about the same place on the freeway. And then I connect it. Sam is talking about this billboard. There's one just like it going the other way and most times, if Sam is awake he says,"Toes" or "Toes, Gamma".

It is the littlest of moments that can make the precious memories that hold our dear ones near when they are far away. I feel like Sam is in the back seat when I drive by this billboard. I have been wanting to blip it for the last month but it is near a busy stretch of freeway.

Tonight, a friend was willing risk life and his truck to stop on the side of freeway so I could take the shot. It was quick, camera on automatic.
