Kazakh-British Technical University

Our first full day in Kazakhstan saw us visit the Kazakh British Technical University (KBTU), meeting with the Vice-Rector and signing an MoU. This has been a while in coming and now our Department of Economics are working on what can be achieved through this link.

KBTU currently occupies the former parliament building in Almaty, and the main congressional hall is still in the middle of the building. It is not as active as it once was, but still has the voting system on the seats. Our meeting with the Vice-Rector was in the former President of Kazakhstan's office!
