At the end of my run

An early morning run, started in the dark and ending as the sun burst above the horizon as seen from where I was on Great North Road. This was the main route north from Auckland until after the Auckland Harbour Bridge was opened about 1960.

Now, this part of Great North Road has numerous car sale yards for both new and pre owned cars. Many of the latter are imported from Japan (and elsewhere). Lights from one of the storage yards can be seen in silhouette, as can the steeple from a church which is now the base for the inner city Maori mission.
