The Beavers
Chair legs don't last very long in our house because of one of these dogs. But which one is the culprit..?
Suspect #1 is Brulee. She is a greedy fat chocolate Labrador with a passion for dairy, chunks of cucumber and getting her bum rubbed. Brulee is placid and good natured and usually lets Bakewell win when they play. She is well mannered and will always wait until she's invited before jumping onto a Human's bed. But isn't it always the quiet ones?
Suspect #2 is Bakewell. He is half-springer-half-chocolate Labrador. The breeder called him a 'Springador' in what I cynically said was a ploy to bump the price up (a 'mongrel' would have probably been £100 cheaper..) He is keen to please & is very obedient on dog walks when he isn't chasing rabbits and eating unmentionables but is a Class 'A' Rogue indoors where he will readily sneak around and steal any food that's within reach. He knows no boundaries and can often be found tucked up in our bed while Brulee sleeps downstairs in a cold kitchen. But is he too obvious?
Regardless of who the chair-muncher is there is one certainty: that yours truly will be in the Doghouse- my good-intentioned decision to rotate the chairs in a bid to avoid one chair being completely destroyed has sort of led to all chairs receiving a superficial gnawing...
Oops! If anyone needs me I'll be in my bed licking my balls
