Frozen Rain.

Another very cold day. Max temp 1c.

Paul Hudson, the weather man, was explaining last night what frozen rain was.
Well here it is ,on the leaves of this plant. Looks quite magical!

Frozen rain is rain that freezes on contact with the ground.
When there's mild air aloft and very cold air at the surface.

Not good for getting about!!

Have got all the shopping done, and spent Tesco vouchers, so the bill didn't come to quite as much!
All the fresh veg etc. and meat bought at the farm shop. They were finding it hard to keep warm today, and had a patio heater out side where they have everything on display.Could have done with one inside as well.
