Bliptime in the garden of good and evil
After a hot and busy day cleaning up the house in France ready for some renters coming in, we headed down for a night in Catalonian Spain. We stayed near Figueres, but went out for the evening in Peralada nearby. It's a classic hilltop town, with lots of very old buildings, narrow streets, a very cool castle and great views over the mountains.
This is a view through a doorway to a beautiful villa. The old iron gates had just a little hole in which I put the lens right up to (much to the amusement of a bunch of passing teenagers). Luckily the little dog protecting the premises couldn't jump high enough to get in the way.
We've explored 'our' bit of France quite a bit now, but I think next time we'll go we'll explore down here a bit more.
Oh, the title is because this reminded both me and Mr MT of the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil book. I can only suppose our copy has a cover like this.
EDIT: changed image, decided this version was better. Photos from Peralada on flickr if you'd like to explore: here
