The cats are pleased to have us home. They rewarded Eve (a neighbour's daughter) with various birds they had caught whilst we were away. In all the time we have had cats here they have never brought any birds (save a Robin once which I rescued) into the house. She stoically dealt with the aftermath although I am still finding the occasional soft downy feather here and there. Bad cats!
