I am planning what fruit to bottle, what to freeze and what to make into jam so that we can take some of the summer into winter with us. My aunt in France would make the most delicious bottled plums in a thick sweet syrup which we would eat with Le Petit Suisse (a very rich little pot of fresh, sweet fromage frais). These plums made me happy today as it poured with rain outside - that and a lovely visit from some friends.
