Ending up in IKEA

The best made plans fell foul of the weather today.

I was supposed to go to Coniston to measure the Coniston 14 race but that fell by the wayside on Thursday night due to the weather up there.

So today was a leisurely (and very rare!) lie in and a lazy morning, before going to AFC Flyde vs Salford City. But guess what: the game was called off as "some areas of the playing surface are unfit" according to the referee.

So the promise of going to IKEA after the match became an earlier trip than planned.

Nothing like as exciting a day as runhills and IWC and I missed out on the cross country at Barrow as well.

Ah well, there's always tomorrow's hilly 15 miles around Longridge.
