Sunday lunch

What a thing of beauty is a simple roast chicken. I put garlic butter with lemon zest under the skin of the breast, squeeze the lemon juice over the whole bird, stuff the half lemons in the body cavity, salt,pepper, a bit of butter then into the oven. The smells whilst it's cooking are divine. Served with veggies and meat juice gravy and that, for me, is a meal fit for a king, or queen.
Awfully sad news today about Whitney Houston. May she rest in peace at last.
