Exceedingly good cheese

It was Greenhead Farmers' Market this morning. I like it because it is small and the stall holders are all local providers, mainly of food. Here is Dianne Horn, who with her husband Eric, farms organically at Slack House Farm near Birdoswald Roman Fort.

Dianne goes to the Farmers' Market to sell their cheese. I asked her to offer me a piece of cheese, took the photo and then forgot to buy any!!

In our walking festival I'm leading a walk on the farm and Dianne is going to show us all the different conservation measures they have in place. After the walk we will have tea in her excellent tearoom. The places have nearly all sold already. I think we'll have a great time.
