on the school run

A calm frosty February morning and we're on the regular school run to drop Ella off at school. It's the start of a chaotic Friday though - Fridays are usually a very busy day for us but today is going to be a topper. We are off to Orkney tomorrow morning - need to be on the road with 3 kids and 10 days worth of stuff by 6am, but today we have swimming lessons, a new pushchair to acquire, packing, dinner with our minister and his family, for which I have offered to bring lemon meringue pie for dessert which I haven't yet made, and the normal school runs, looking after baby etc to do at the same time. We'll get there though - things only ever take as long as you've got. I've believed that for some time and it proves to be true time and time again.
