Shot Tower

The first time I saw this it was in the middle of a derelict site, awaiting to be built around. That was 20+ years ago. Since then it has been the focal point of the Melbourne Central Shopping Mall, which has itself been completely renovated since it was first opened.

It reminds me of my days in Chester too... the only other place I know with a shot tower in the centre of the city, or nearly so!
