Canyon climbing in Cafayate

Today was action packed with a full day trip to the lovely town of Cafayate. Cafayate is home to one of Argentina's main wine growing regions with the white torrontes grape most prominent.

On route from Salta we made many stops in the Quebrada de Cafayate or canyon. One of the best was a visit to a rock formation known as Anfiteatro or Amphitheatre. I enjoyed a quick climb up before the bus was ready to depart.

In the evening our group went to a local Salta restaurant and enjoyed a Parrilla grill where they serve every possible cut of meat and listened to the Pena or Folk music.

Tomorrow we are back in Buenos Aires for a night before visiting our penultimate country - Uruguay.
