When you live on a god forsaken wind blasted rock it is only your most stoical enduring friends who are still visiting after ten years. It is the greatest possible compliment that people will drive for two days just to visit. I wish I could say that I have rewarded their loyalty with knickbockerglories but truth is that they paid!
