Very lucky escape!!

This sorry looking ceiling is directly above my side of our king sized bed. I was up in our loft looking for something when I leaned over onto the one TINY section of I floored floor and before I knew what was happening I fell through doing a complete somersault and landing on my back in the place I normally sleep. A slightly surprised Eoghan who was lying reading a book turned his head and said" could you not use the door?" I cannot believe how LUCKY I was. A few inches either way and I would either have landed on Eoghan or on my bedside table....which is solid. As it was I was somewhat shook up but otherwise unharmed. We've covered it with a board and stuffed it with towels to keep out the draft Now I've got to get the ceiling repaired and the electrician in for the lights. May as well do the whole room!!
