Tadnoll and Winfrith Heath

This is one of our favourite walks, a nice mixture of heath, woodland and marsh. Not many birds in the winter, especially as the Dartford warbler population has been wiped out by the recent cold winters. There are still a few in east Dorset so I expect they will spread back eventually.

My face is more lurid than ever, with deep purple eyelids and bags under both eyes, and it looks as though the nose is broken after all.
