I thought this was a headstone
The hedges on one of the dog walks has been tidied up and I saw this drainage pipe with what looked like a grave headstone dedicated to Roger Holloway - I've seen people with seats or trees to their memories but not a drainpipe!
I planned to ask a local chap about this Roger chap but when I googled the name - Roger Holloway and sons are a drainage contractor based near Toddington, Glos - not too far away.
This is an extract from their website:
Roger Holloway sadly past away on the 6th of Febuary of 2011 after bravely battling with cancer, His insperation and pasion for what he did, will continue in to the future throu anyone that knew and worked with him.
Roger Holloway had been a land drainage contractor for over forty years with a very much hands on approach, he had acted in a consultancy roll as well as for, land owners, tenants, land agents and local authorities, also for oil, gas, water, electricity, and telecommunication companies on projects that cross the countryside.
I will now look for further Holloway signs
