Emergency blip

Walked the dogs today very windy nothing much happened so used the geese at the end of the walk as a blip - it would seem that romance is not in the air for 2012 because the goose usually lays her first egg each year on Valentine's Day - but not this year.

Had a frustrating thing to cope with today:

Following the sad loss of Dad I have been trying to sort out all the bank/pension/community stuff and a couple of weeks ago I took Mum to the building society with photo proof of who she was, a copy of the death certificate and a copy of the will................. 2 weeks later - on visiting mum today she had received a letter from the building society asking for a copy of a utility bill to prove where she lived. I phoned the society and asked the young lady why this was needed - 'to prove where she lives' was the reply - my response was 'if you sent my mum a letter to her address and I have responded to the letter doesn't that prove she lives here' - no they needed a utility bill or bank statement.
I took the requested proof into the society - I consider that a hoop jumped through or maybe even a box ticked.
