Me gusta Colonia de Sacramento

Today we crossed the wide Rio Plata river by ferry and said goodbye to Buenos Aires and hello to the lovely town of Colonia de Sacramento in Uruguay.

We are in Colonia for 4 lazy nights of recuperation and recovery after our Bolivian exploits and have instantly fell in love with the place. Colonia is a Unesco heritage site for its many preserved buildings, museums and the old port. During the day it is really popular with tourists making a day trip from either BA or Montevideo. At night it is just the locals and a few very lucky tourists.

After taking lots of shots of the many buildings and an amazing sunset I settled on today's Blip just because I love the colors of the building against the sky.

Me gusta Colonia de Sacramento.
